The Challenge
Seeking a speedy digital transformation to the cloud
Onapsis was seeking an ambitiously fast migration. The company had acquired a company with a datacenter in Germany, and an upcoming contract expiration accelerated the need to migrate workloads from their on-premises data center to one in the cloud. The timeframe was tight, at eight weeks maximum.
With 146 virtual desktops and integrations, Onapsis did not have the internal resources available for the operational purpose in the stipulated time frame.
Onapsis sought out an AWS Premier Consulting Partner to help with its accelerated digital transformation and found CloudHesive.
The Solution
Achieving a smooth cloud migration in under six weeks
The CloudHesive team planned and deployed a comprehensive digital transformation strategy focused on business continuity, disaster recovery, continuous backup, and live migration. With the tight time frame, CloudHesive’s analysis focused on dependencies and incorporated test migrations as well as a rollback plan.
CloudHesive deployed Amazon CloudEndure for backup and recovery, Amazon Route 53 for routing, Amazon EC2 for computing, and Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) to migrate and host Onapsis’ 146 virtual machines from Germany to the AWS cloud in less than six weeks.
